Dining
The food at The Walbrook is quite simply delicious. Chef eschews the ‘cloche’ notion of revealing an embarrassed sprig of parsley protecting the modesty of a bare plate. Rather, true to Albert Roux’s legacy, the cuisine combines British and French recipes to irresistible effect.
There are a variety of dining options over breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. The Bar Menu offers Walbrook favourites such as the Club Sandwich and lighter dishes. In the Dining, Green and Oak Rooms, the à la carte reflects seasonal recipes made from fresh ingredients sourced from trusted suppliers.
The wine list unashamedly lavishes (most of) its attention on clarets and white burgundies.
Events
Guests are invariably bowled over by the approach to the Club, which is of a charming doll’s house dwarfed by distinguished neighbours: it is quintessentially the City of London, where different heights, styles and ages coexist, each the happier for the other’s presence.
The Walbrook is a stylish and discreet place to host a private event. Whatever the occasion, the Club will strive to meet your exact requirements to create an elegant and memorable encounter.
Chef’s seasonal event menus are tailored to different tastes, occasions and budgets. These are available upon request. There is a Bar, Dining Room and two private rooms available. Each can be reconfigured in accordance with instruction and the various rooms have speakers should the host wish to play music. A room hire fee applies to non-Members.
